Trisha Smith

Trisha Smith is a former Special Educator with Henry County Schools and holds a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies in Special Education from the University of Georgia, along with state training in early intervention services.

With more than 10 years of experience as a certified paralegal specializing in civil litigation defense, she followed a passion-driven path into education and began teaching exceptional students in the Union Grove cluster in 2014.

Her dedication to special education led her to complete her degree as an adult learner, and in 2019 she returned to the legal field, joining the education team at Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC. Trisha’s personal connection to early intervention and her lifelong commitment to advocating for children and youth guide both her professional and volunteer work.

She is actively involved in the community as a member of the Design Committee for the Main Street McDonough Board

and as a volunteer and donor with the Truancy Intervention Project and the Atlanta Food Bank. Trisha and her husband, Eric, have been married for 30 years and have three children.
